Open Question: How much will this ticket cost?

My husband and I live in kansas city missouri and had too meet in overland park ks (johnson county) he turned right on a red light however we were pulled over because apparently it was an illegal turn. Neither my husband nor I noticed the sign. the officer said its a non moving violation, and it wont go against our record. however there was no total fine writteen on the ticket. it says a mandatory court appearance. why cant we just pay the ticket and does anyone know about how much it would cost, ive read some people have paid 400 to 500 dollars in other states but cant seem to find kansas....
